Hello there fellas. my tires are good at this point but i know that day will come when its time to buy some new ones. right now i am running 275/40 r20 pzeros all the way around but am curious with my 20 inch rims how much wider can i go. especially in the rear. on my 03 cobra i had 315 nittos and loved the look and grip they had but haven't found anyone else with bigger that a 295/35 witht he newer cars. anyone know how wide you can go before they start rubbing?

285/30-20 is probably the norm, i think ive seen someone here put a 305/30 i beleive, but i think pirelli is the only one who makes teh right size.

You can fit a 315/35, but they're very tall. There are 345/25's mad e that are the correct diameter, but I don't know if they'll fit in the wheel wells. You'll also need at LEAST 11.5" wide wheels.

315/35/20 P-Zeros

I'm running 315/35/20 p-zero nerro on 10 inch Saleen rims. No rub at all but Saleen suspension is very stiff!

slammer1 ,

I was reading a thread where I saw your combo. I have a 2005 gt that Ijust bought saleen 20" wheels for. My question is do you think that a CONTINENTAL 305/25zr20
would fit on a saleen 20" x 10" rear wheel back ther with no problem?

The 305/25-20 might be a little to wide for the 10" wide wheel. The section width is 12.3" on an 11" wide wheel. You put that on a 10" wheel and your tire will be over an 1" wider than the wheel on both sides. Yes you CAN do that, but a tire with that low of an aspect ratio, I would not recommend it.

what about a 315/35/20? it is 12.41 inches wide and 1.57 inches wider than a 275 which is what saleen runs all around.

275 is 10.83 " wide
315 is 12.41" wide = 1.57 difference

315/35-20 shows as 28.7" tall. That is much taller than the 305/25-20. That will make a huge difference on how the tire bulges out from the rim. It should work fine. What size do you plan on running on the front(rim width and tire)? Reason I ask is the stock tires are 27" tall and the 315/35-20 is nearly 2 inches taller. You would need something in the 26.5-27.5" range to not have it look to odd.

Man, I wish they made those in black or gun metal. They look good on a car. My personal preference on tires for those would be a 315/35 and 275/35.

Ya, I bougfht these recently but still would like to know if there are problems running 315's in the back with these. I made an attempt to e-mail and private message SLAMMER1 but I have not heard from him. I just need to know if the 315's will fit with no rubbing issues on my 05 gt
