I've noticed on a lot of cop chase videos that the guys being chased always seem to have one of two things happen to their car (unless the PITT is used). They either overheat and blow up or their brakes appear to fail.

You just never know when you might need those slots....

I think I'll be aight,...I don't plan to get pulled over w/ a crack pipe in my lap, so I got no reason to try and run.

Man,..I tell ya. Nothing lingers on here for more than a day. Contribute to the community, and unless it's a question about how much HP a particular H.C.I. combo makes, or a carb vs FI argument, stuff just dissapears.

So,...given that there is actually beneficial info to be learned from my "do it twice" approach to fixing things,...the bottom line to the thread:

No more moan.

Just got it running today, new slotted rotors, and a set of Oreilly's semi metallic pads.

Quiet as a church mouse.

In retrospect,..I'm sure it was the pads,...I probably didn't need to change out the rotors, but what the hell....now I got something that looks good behind those shiny wheels.

Mine are hidden behind 10 holes. New stock calipers, drilled and slotted rotors, hi performance semi metallics and stainless steel braided brake lines.

Mike, take a picture of what those brakes look like behind those wheels of yours.
