i recently put on mechanical gauges on my 65 mustang with a 302 144 b&m roots charger. i noticed that on the freeway it runs at 250 F. does anyone know how i can get an aluminum radiator that will not break my wallet? input is greatly appreciated.

Whats your thermostat? If any? 180 usually works, but going to a lower thermostat doesnt necesarily mean it will run cooler.. An aluminum radiator isnt really the cure all fix for it, because regular ones work fine when everything is setup correctly...

with no changes other than switching from a new stock style 3 core to the northern aluminum, my temps dropped form 240 to 160. I'd say thats a substantially more effective radiator. I tried all sorts of stuff before I bought it, shrouds, air dams, different fans, thermostats and restrictors, different coolants, I spent more money doing all that stuff than I spent on the new radiator. Wish I'd have done it first.
