Bluffing024 *OFFICIAL* 2009 NFL Thread

I see the Pats won 59-0. Did they have a GREAT game or were the Titans that lousy?

combo of both.. brady was hitting every throw perfect.. defense played great and the titans just suck..

you can't have a game be that lopsided without both the winning team playing perfect and the loosing team just being horrible..

to be hones tit could have been 100-0 if the patriots did not take everybody out on offense after the first drive in the 3rd.. it was that lopsided..

No one would have expected the Titans to be this bad and teams like the Broncos to be doing this well.
So, Brady is now back on track.
In my FFL, I had Brees playing today so I thought I was set. To bad that my opponent had Thomas Jones and Brady.

OUCH

I want to see how the broncos do tommorow night.. I am glad mcdaniels is doing well, I thought he was going to get run out of town before he coached a game with that cutler crap..

BTW what happened to the giants.. I did not get to see much of the game today. I thought they would kill the saints.. LOL I was telling bluffing the night before that the g-men are the best all around team in the NFC and that the saints disappear in big games.

I really like Jeff Fisher as a coach, but I think the guy is pretty much out now in Tenn. Unreal. Yes the Pats are a great team and Brady was playing out of his mind but it looked like Tenn was playing at a half speed. Guys its sunday!!!

Anyways, I was at the Steelers / Browns game yesterday. For those of you who didn't see it. THe game wasn't as close as the score said it was. Pittsburgh had a TD taked off on the refs makin the rules up as they went along on when a receiver has poss of a ballin the endzone and when a runners forward progress is stopped for a turnover. Ben had a pretty good day (417 yards) and a good win for Pittsburgh.

Really? they shouldn't of even had a chance for that TD. They had 4th and 1 that the Steelers went for and the Browns stopped. It CLEARLY showed that they were short and yet somehow they gave them a first down. Total BS there. Even the announcers were amazed how they gave them a first down.

But yeah, you guys pretty much handed our asses on a platter. At least we kept the score close.

EDIT:
How is this a first down

Notice the referee closest to the screen. Notice how the whole top pic is of his arm, pointing in the opposite direction of the way the Steelers were going.

Question: Picture showed ball short of the stick

Walt Anderson: "It depends on which angle you might be looking. I'm looking from straight on so I guess it's conceivable that's why I don't get it back at an angle because it can be deceptive because there's a little bit of a distance probably in the neighborhood of five or six inches between the actual point of the football and where the stake actually sets on the ground. If you shot at an angle maybe from back behind the ball it might look like it's short. If you shot at angle the other side, it might actually look like it's further in advance of the stake then what it actually."

Whats with the "sanchez officially sucks" comments.. Srsly? Cause the ROOKIE had a rough day??

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

Ok maybe a little early to write him off but I can't stand the jets and the media was ready to put him in canton a few weeks ago..

Sadly i think ryan, the media and jets fans have put way too much pressure on a young QB to perform like a vet.. Many got carried away with his first few games when teams did not have a lot of film on him, plus he got lucky with some almost picks in those games too..

He may end up being a decent qb in this league but he is not a decent qb right now.. He needs to learn to throw the ball away and stop forcing throws..

I think they're still sore that the Jets beat the Patriots ;)

I don't like the jets.. that has nothing to do with week two.. I have disliked them for many years

Anyways I have been a pats fan for a long time and seen them loose to every nfl team at least once.. I don't hate a team just because they played better that day.

For example I don't hate the broncos.. they just played better.. unlike the broncs the pats will get another crack at the jets and I think the results will be a lot different.. Plus I doubt the jets will be a factor in the afc east for much longer

Could be true haha.

I don't think the kid is bad. He's a rookie, has to learn the ropes of the NFL some time. Early years normally aren't too pretty (save for flacco and ryan)

many rookies or first time starters were decent right away.. both mannings, brady, rothlisburger, flacco, ryan, rivers the list could go on..

I put him more with the likes of russel and young. I think he is better than those two, but i think he was put in a impossible situation for a rookie
