so how do u expect to win the superbowl this year when ur AFFRAID of peyton manning? you saying that your defense can't come up with a big stop? i agree with you though the pats had no chance of stopping the colts even from the 1. manning picked that team apart the entire 4th quarter.

I don't care HOW good your team is. If you are not afraid of Manning (Who I feel is the best PURE PASSER ever to play the game ) you are a fool. There are certian QBs you don't want to have the ball in their hands at the end of the game. Manning, Brady, Ben, Favre are the curent ones playing today.

Myself. I punt. You are a penalty, dropped pass, pick, botched snap away from sealing it up. Would you rather give Manning 30 yards? Or 60 + yards? He's deadly either way. But I'd take my chances with the ladder.

What no one is talking about is the TWO time outs NE took and screwed themselves if this situation came up.

In that dome they are very hard to stop.. The pats defense is not a championship caliber defense right now, it's young and it's a work in progress.

The ONLY chance they had to win that game was converting the first down.. and they did and the call was botched..

A local TV station broke it down frame by frame with multiple angles and faulk's feet was still past the marker with the ball AFTER the bobble..

But to be fair to the officials it's pretty hard to see that at full speed.

Also that bogus PI call on the previous colts drive was all I needed to see for me to back up BB 100 percent on his choice to go for it.

ANYWAYS... it's just a regular season game and either way the colts would probably have home field so it won't matter and the patriots or whoever meets the colts in that dome will have to worry about the PI calls and other BS..

We got some steeler fans here ask them about the 2005 afc divisional game where the steelers were getting the short end of the stick. Thank god they won the game anyways but a lot of BS in that game.

Belichick and the rest of his staff made some errors but the 4th and 2 was not one of them.. the burned time outs and not letting them score on the first play after the 4th and 2 was critical errors

In foxboro I punt that ball.. it's outdoors peyton is not comfortable in the cold NE weather (this is why we ALWAYS play in the PI dome) Plus you don't have to worry as much about the PI calls because the refs would like to get out of foxboro alive.

Sadly the game was yet again in indy, just as it will be next year and the year after and the year after than all the way until brady and or manning retire

I predict the Bengals will smoke the Colts. :D

Just kidding, who knows. I have always respected Manning. My only gripe with him used to be he didn't seem so good at handling the pressure of high stakes games. Seems like he's gotten much better with that. Years ago they'd make it to the playoffs and its like he'd almost choke and not play up to his potential.

Not being biased either way, I thought the call was right. all he had to do was catch the ball. He bobbled it. Right in front of the ref too. I still say I take my chances giving Manning a longer field. THat call by BB was dead wrong. Your D just got burned for 90 yards on the previous drive. So why cut it down to a 3rd of that??? THe third down pass was almost picked by Indy. Punt the damn ball. Under two minutes to go, you run the risk of not getting the first. ( Dropped pass at the very least.) And blowing your last time out right before that. . .moronic. Just a bad call on the coaching staff. No big deal. ITs a regular season game like you said.

And you can go on about if it was played in NE. . .It wasn't. We always play you up there except one year. Dallas hadn't played here since the 80's up until last year. Can't complain about. It is what it is.

svt could u quit whining about calls? PI dome wtf? the colts have the pats number and have had it for the past what 4 years? sound like a fan not willing to admit when his team gets beat strait up to me.

Never, ever take chances with a ladder, if you fall off you'll break your Femur.

Do you remember the Steelers/Colts in 2005 Playoffs...Manning does get special treatment.

Yeah and the 2007 afc divisional game against the chargers..

I strongly dislike the chargers and they were getting ****ED in that game..

special treatment happens in sports like it or not.. Hell the NBA is famous for it..

NFL does it too and I think it should stop. I have bitched when my own team gets some special treatment calls in foxboro.. I can think of a few times this season they got roughing the passer on brady when he was hardly touched.. Hell the 2001 post season is a good example of the league favoring the patriots. By the way it's not the tuck rule I am talking about, since that should have been called a tuck by the rules I am thinking of the SB against the rams, and I think the same thing went against the patriots in 2007 when it was better for the league for the pats to loose

It's BS and it ruins the game.

Why does every big game in indy have to have several controversial calls that goes the colts way.. It's BS let the teams play, manning is good enough and that team is good enough to go far on their own.

The NFL has made a decision that petyon and tom are the stars they want to feature and out of the two the NFL gives even more treatment to manning most likely because he is more popular outside his teams home region than brady is.

Wes you can stick your head in the sand all you want and pretend that big money professional sports don't have star worship and out right results steering going on but it does happen and has happened for years and it will continue to happen.

Hell look what is going on in the NBA with the results steering allegations by that ref that got busted for betting on games.. A lot of people want to shove it under the rug because he is a bad guy with a problem but if you look at the games he pointed out the result steering was obvious.

the days of just playing the game is gone.. We are in the era now of big marketing and PR

every qb in the league gets special treatment hell every offense in the league gets special treatment cause it puts fans in the stands. the only difference is when it happens for your team you dont say nothing but the minute it goes against then **** hits the fan. this is becoming a offensive league more and more rules to protect the qb, wr, rb's. but nothing is being done to help the defense thats just how it goes now days in the nfl.

I swear I just posted how I did not like some of the roughing the passer calls I have seen go for the pats and a few of the ones against them..

Either way the PI call and the spot were bad.. The PI call is typical when your playing in indy.. and the spot was just a mistake, kind of hard to expect the ref to be perfect..

Even if belichick had a time out and could of challenged I think the odds were low of the spot being changed.. Since

1. the game was in indy

2. you needed to see both angles next to each other to see faulk was still past the marker after he had possession

they were bad calls.. What ticks me off more is the PI call since it's every time we play this team in indy and I have seen it happen to other teams.

Well nothing we can do about it so I guess we move on.. It's just kind of sad the nfl is no better than the NBA

that old washed up qb brett favre just keeps on winning and throwing td's.

When he got to be on a team with AP, some proven receivers in Berrian and Rice, and some rookie that people doubted would produce much (What was his name again? Percy Harvin or something? Didn't he come from UF? A school that is known for being unable to produce NFL receivers?), he was set up for dominance. He has proven he still has it, and his team is perfectly stacked for wins. The O is on fire, and the D is amazing, and they are looking awesome this year. I've never been a fan of any NFL team, but this team has caught my interest. (sure, a lot of it is my bias being a UF grad, when Harvin was there while I attended, but still!)
