Stainless brake lines have a liner that doesn't break down. I've got a set on a truck that have been there for nearly 20 years, numerous brake jobs, and all sorts of racing.

I disagree. It's not the liner that breaks down, but the stainless jacket depending on on environmental conditions. I've seen some separate from the crimps at the heads due to flexing up and down over the years, especially the cheap ones. The old lines on my car were 10 years old and went into the trash due to starting to look suspect at the crimps....hence the "IMHO" portion of that statement.


Some people operate on a budget and aren't complete :taco:s to random people online.
