I didn't. And neither did the people that make their living with tractors. Most of the real farmers use Case or JD it seems. Guys like me do buy Mahindras though, because they do just fine for around the homestead work. Honestly, though in a year or two when I do buy one it will be Kubota. My father in law has one and it is awesome. Since 93 the only work it's required was oil changes and one pto lipseal because he let weeds wrap around it and tear it up while he was shredding. I don't know any JD owners that can say that.

Beautiful. I'd live out in the middle of nowhere if I could. The wife wants to be closer to the city. Guess who wins?

Yeah. This guy lives here- it used to be his get away place, and he lived in El Campo in town. His home in El Campo has been broken into and robbed twice in the last year, so he said enough. Leased that house out and moved into the farmhouse. What's crazy? He and his wife both work for Brazosport School District. That's down in my area. It's 80 miles one way to work for them. They did have a little Scion they commuted in, but another douchbag in El Campo rear ended him and ran. Cops caught the guy, but now they make the trip to work in a pickup, because the check they got from their insurance company.... was stolen in the last robbery. So, he's waiting on another check to get another little car. People suck. I don't blame him.

Wow. Just wow. Terrible turn of events. I used to drive 30 miles one way to work a few years back and I thought that was bad.

Yeah. Actually, I think Mahindra is Indian, and Kubota is Japanese.

I wonder what Japanese beer tastes like. I've had saki...

Dang man, your pics make me miss TX. Its a whole different way of life out in the middle of no where TX. Up here in Iowa, anyone with more than a few acres has crazy new expensive farm equipment for the corn and soy bean fields. And no field is left to be prairie land, unless they are giving the land a year off from being planted.

Yeah, my area is more cattle ranch and pasture land with wooded creek and river bottoms. Head out west from me and you start seeing a mix of cattle and crops. I live 8 miles out of a small town with a pop of about 3400. It's nice. People are friendly, no gangbangers, and a twenty minute drive gets me into Brazosport area where you can buy most anything you need. Shopping mall, restaurants, you name it. I keep all the people at arm's length.

I will say this about IA, the crime is relatively low compared to most other areas of the country, so I have that going for my family. Dont get me wrong, I live in the second most populated city in the state and we have our fair share, but our year of crime is about a week in places such as DFW or Houston. But even so, I live right on the outskirts for the same reasons.

Honestly Mike, if you're going to stay up that late drinking, let the spell checker have it's way with you.

There's only so much a bad guy can do with a stick and a pitch fork when robbing a bank. It's no wonder your crime is so low.
