Guess what dad gets to help with today?
Turns out this car only had dash speakers from the factory, so we get to pull wire. Yaaaaaay!!!!!
He's saved up some money... and wanted some amps and woofers. I said, "SURE! right after we upgrade that crappy 2g alternator!" Needless to say, there are no amps or woofers going in this weekend.... I can't believe he wants tunes over air conditioning. Teenagers.

Ah been there and done that. Some of the weight in my car is due to my stereo needs. I have a very SQ oriented type setup in my car. All old school stuff - PPI Art series amp for the doors, Us amps for the sub, Sony XEC 1000 active cross over , JL 10 inch sub, nakamichi component set up in the front doors and alpines out in the rear deck.

Well, it's all wired up and installed. I handed him the instructions for setup, bluetooth and all that craziness. That mess is on him. He's the electronic gadgeteer anyway. He'll be able to sync his phone to that tuner just like dad's new s550. He's very excited!

Well, like I said.. the charging system in this car is crap. They couldn't even power an e-fan and run headlights. Before he gets any amps, he'll have to upgrade the alternator. The stock unit simply can't cut it.
