i just bored but i am curious to what you guys think as i hear many different hp ratings.

im working on saving now but it will take a while. anyway, heres the set up.

all my current hp mods. which is full exhaust with longtubes, plenum/tb, stage 2 ported heads, custom grind stage 1 blower cams. (you can see my current numbers)

i will add a build engine with slightly lowered compression. ans i plan on running the novi 2000 and all supporting mods, and intercooler @ 14psi on 93 octaine i will add the p51 intake later.

where in rwhp and rwtq do you think this set up will put me.
thanks guys!

With P51 I think you will be in the upper 500s...W/O P51 probably mid 500s.

You can turn it up to around 17PSI on 91 octain and put down closer to 620+. But its a guess haha....a calculated guess based on others.

IE shiester put down 601 with stock heads, stock lower intake, and some custom cams from Tim. he was @ 17.5 PSI. Your heads but milder cams should make more. :nice:

I want a novi 2000 :(. But its going on the 66. It sucks waiting huh? Me, im waiting to pay off my car...which should be done later this year. How much time do you have?

thanks for the replies guys. hotmustang id love to see those kind of # but i dont think im gonna spin the blower that hard but who knows. i really would like to hit 500 wrhp though.

i have a while left. you will probably get yours before me. i am saving for the built engine right now and cant seem to add any money to the pot.

oh well we will get there....theres no rush, except for just wanting it so bad:mad:

You'll need to substantially upgrade the fuel system to support 450+ hp! Cobra tank + upgraded dual pumps, SS lines, and some nice big fuel rails too.

Ha, I have the fuel system covered on my 66. 1/2 fuel line ALL the way up, and a barrygrant fuel pump that flows around 320GPH (750HP capable). When we check it and dissconnected the fuel line and pointed it into a bucket, it literly looked like we turned the waterhose on. Pumped out about a 1/2 gallon in around 5-7 seconds. Its crazy....bad thing is, it sounds like I have a darn civic driving around in my back seat because its so loud :rlaugh: .

well my plan was to order the novi kit from mph and just pick it apart. i wouldnt need the tuner or the tune. i would like to talk to them, have them knock off money for that stuff and add on for the a/a intercooler.

that comes with fuel upgrades dosent it? or is it just the pumps. if so i guess i could just get the rest of the fuel parts from them also. they should throw that stuff in for those prices.

^ Thats EXACTLY what I plan to do when I order mine from paxton. Piece it togethor. All I want is the brakets, novi, oil tap, and carb inclosure...THATS IT. Im fabbing in a custom BIG IC and all the piping.

So man have you confirmed that buisnesses will actually let you pick and choose? Im sure paxton direct will....but what about MPH?

MPH will hook you up! They will deduct the price of the tuner/other things from the price of the kit if you wish. But yeah, the Mongoose kit has fuel upgrades, but just focus fuel pump and 42lb injectors. That should be good for 450hp or so, then you'll start reaching the efficiency limits of both the pump and injectors.

i havent actually talked to them yet but i assume that they will go for it considering i will be subsituting for a intercooler from them which is more expensive. also i hear they are good to work with.

i talked to my tuner and he said that he got very close to 500 rwhp on 2 gt's with cams/heads and other bolt ons after the blower. i dont know what boost they were pushing though. that sounds awsome to me ....i just hope that the fuel system parts that mph gives me will hold up to that. i will kind of have to get a custom blower set up from mph if they think i need it.

im sure the guys that got 500 hp were probably running stage 2 cams though while i only have a stage 1.
