I bought a used mongoose kit off of a guy with a 2000 Mustang GT I know the engines are basically the same but just making sure since they did switch to Romeo for 01+. I have a 2002 GT. Will the mounting brackets and all the hardware be the same??? I also bought the 10lb pulley...what is typical rwhp with this???...current mods are just offroad X pipe, and accufab plenum/TB. Thanks for the help!

I assume injectors,Maf,pumps, charger?Make damn sure you relocate the IAT after the blower..

I got everything except the MAF and fuel pumps. I'd take it to you to get tuned...especially now that you do SCT, but I'm up in Chicago so I'm going to take it to Sutton Performance...I've heard great things about them. Where should I relocate the IAT???

I can flash it with the orignal mongoose tune........
Relocate the iat after the supercharger. If you bought the kit, then it should already have a hole in the sleeve or piping for the IAT..

I thought the mounting bracket from the 99's and 00 was different from the 01-02's. Doesnt the belt route differently as well??

Regardless, I think Im right this time. The actual head unit is the same, the bracket however is made for a different timing cover and wont mount flush.... ask bleu01mustang on Modulardepot about it.. He compared my setup to the one he purchased and the bracket was DEFINATELY different along with a few of the pulleys. He had to order a new bracket and the pulleys from Vortech. Compare the differences in part numbers in the manual. They're not the same.

Ford switched Engines in 2001. It's still a modular 4.6 but it's made in a different plant. Compare your belt routing with an 02 Mustangs belt.. it should be different if Im not mistaken. I'll be in Pougkipsie this weekend if you want to compare

Congrats on the kit ryan but I now have to say you suck...now there's gonna be 5 s/c stangs at the weekly show

j/k happy for ya man.

What pumps you going with? If you decide to do the steeda pumps you'll need to send your pump out which means more downtime. I've already got a steeda pump in mine if you want you can have my stock pump to ship out to save downtime. Or are you planning on going the 03 cobra pump route?

I haven't really decided on what I'm going to do about the Fuel pump yet. I will have to do some research on specs and prices. Are you going to Carol Stream tomorow? If you are I'll probably be asking you a bunch of questions because I know you've researched this a lot.

I wasn't planning on it but I could go just to hang out my trunklid still isn't painted so it looks like crap Ya I spent alot of time researching this and hanging out on Tim's forum's I also did some local pricing if you want I can PM you with my Cell # and give ya the info I got.

You just gotta decide what your final HP numbers you want and buy the stuff first off saves you alot of money and headache if I had the money at the time I woulda gone with 03 cobra pumps and tank but I didn't have the money at the time and got a sweet deal off Deadlurker when he was selling his steeda pump

I just talked to several people and many people reccomended the Focus fuel pump. I don't plan on going over 400rwhp for a long time so they said this would be fine. And for $80 brand new its hard to pass up. What do you think? Also...do I have to take the gas tank down to install the new pump?

LOL sorry bout that dude.. If I didnt deal with the 99 bracket first hand I never would have even questioned it, but the part numbers dont lie.. Stupid 99's. The manual isnt 100% accurate either.. there are steps you'll want to avoid, like thier placement of the IAT sensor, the T-rex installation and a few others.. The focus pump will do fine.

Ya the focus pump would work...ya you have to drop the fuel tank to replace the pump. Make sure you know someone with a lift I did mine at my little brother's shop and it was a cakewalk I couldn't imagine trying to do it in the garage on the floor all those cables and hoses
