Brake Light

Well lately my Brake Light has been coming on under hard braking. Last night at Taco Bell, I set my e brake at the drive through menu, ordered, and proceeded to pull up, FORGETTING all about the e brake being set. I didn't notice it till 6 feet or so( My e brake is very weak but still holds the car rock steady when parked up hill) Now when i pull up the handle, my brake light will not come on. But i know the light works because when i brake hard it still comes on, but not when i set the e brake. Anything would be helpful thanks!

Well the light coming on when you brake hard means your brake fluid is low in the MC reseviour.

The BRAKE warning light has two functions. One is the e-brake, the other is low fluid sensor.

SO if your fluid is low, it may mean your pads are nearly worn down and your pistons are extended using fluid volume. Check your pad wear before adding fluid.

That should stop the light from coming on during hard braking and accelerating.

As for the e-brake...could be loose connection in the e-brake

I checked my Master Cylinder, The fluid level seems fine, must be time for some new brakes.
