I just changed my wifes 92 GT brakes for the first time.
When I took off the pads I noticed someone had put permatex (gasket stuff)
all over the back of the pads.
It looks like it was spread across the backs for some reason.
Has anyone heard of this?
Is it maybe used to stop the brake pads from making eather a squeak or the clicking sound?
Any ideas? I'm trying hard to figure out why this was done.
