I need new brake pads (already) What ya'll recommend? I've heard Hawk HPS and ebc greens are pretty good, less brake dust, etc.

I'm already getting a squeeling from the front brakes after just 22K. I think it has to do with driving an automatic. My manual GT went well over 30K without needing them. Thanks.

I replaced the brake pads at less than 20K. I have the EBC green on my Mach. They work very well. There is some dust. But, not like some of the others I've seen.

Here's the dust from someone's new pads; from last year's Bellevue ride..... Anyone know who's this is.... These are not EBC Greens. And I'm pretty sure they are not Hawk HPS either.

Brian-

That's some HEAVY dust! Can't figure out who's car though?
Question-Did you replace at less than 20K by choice of upgrading to a better pad or were your OEM's just worn? I don't think I'm going with Ford OEM replacement pads again :nonono:

It's someone who went to the Ride-N-Drive in Bellevue last year. It wook him a little while to polish the wheels for the Sunday people's choice show....

I wore out the stock pads; the front pads were paper thin. Lets just say I had a lot of fun wearing them down.

DO NOT BUY PERFORMANCE PADS FOR STREET!!! I got performance fricton track pads, not normal ones, and my emergeny braking sucks ass, nto like E-brake but like ooh pretty bird--OOH ****! type emergency. btu once they heat up they ****ing rock, problem is that they never heat up on the street unless I have a deathwish, whcih is often but not daily. buy good raybestos and you will be fine, if you go to track, different advice...
