$400 dollars for a set of brakes is a deal. If you don't want to spend that on a SAFETY item for your car, get out of the game. I understand that you "saw this one setup in an auction for cheap" but that was an auction. It was probably a used setup, the rotors warped, the calipers needing rebuilding.
Further, I doubt you understand much about brakes in the first place based off of some of your responses. You say you want something with resistance to fade (why I don't know since it sounds like you're nothing more than a boulevard pimp), yet you want to go with drilled and slotted rotors. Well answer me this: How does removing mass from the braking system reduce fade? Do you even know what fade is? Do you know what causes it?
So the question really is, are you looking for performance or bling? I don't really care which, but if you want the right answers, you need to be completely honest about it. Some people put more into looks than performance and that's fine. That's their perogative. But don't come in with a thread that is written in poser form and give racer reasons. That just pisses everyone off.
BTW, if you really are looking for a performance brake setup, you'll be spending at least three times what you've already said is too expensive.
