The brakes are constantly engaged on my 2002 Mustang GT. It recently got very bad on tonight's drive home, with smoke coming from the front wheels. This was hours after getting the car back from my mechanic who inspected the brakes and saw no issue. I can absolutely believe that there are some plastic or rubber lines that are breaking down over the years. Has anyone else encountered this, and is it something that can be easily repaired?

You need to figure out [why] it's doing what it's doing.

That means you're going to either have to look and ID the problem yourself or find a mechanic that is not a complete idiot.

I hope you didn't pay this mechanic money for his, "inspection".

100% agree, getting a different mechanic to check it out tomorrow. Thanks!
