how hard and costly(money and time) is it to put disk brakes all the way around?
Your looking at about $800 to $2,500 to go with discs on all 4 corners. Those prices are estimates for Swap type or used brakes to 4 wheel Baer Brakes on the high end.
Maybe a bit less if you are able to find all the stuff at a salvage yard and know what you need.
If you are at all not sure on the swaps, Buy a kit. They come with most everything you need to make your life a bit easier.
Granda swaps were cheap but if you don’t have access to donor car after it’s all said and done the price is close to what a kit would cost. This is assuming that you are replacing/rebuilding all the brake parts, which is not a bad idea when you are putting on 20 year-old brake parts on your car.
New hoses, Pads, rotors, rebuilt calipers.
Don’t cheap out when it comes to your brakes. You are risking your life and the life of others.
I went with stock 68/69 discs in my 67 and upgraded a lot of the components.
Currie Enterprises sells rear discs kits that range from $399.00 and up depending on your needs.
I think I am going to go that route and sell my rear SSBC discs. I can’t figure them out. Anyone interested? PM ME.
