Brenspeed Cams Done!

My Brenspeed cams finally arrived after being on back order for 3 weeks...Installed them in my garage. I had to buy the cam wedge tool for $75...I didn't use a spring compressor...and didn't use a torque wrench on the cam caps just by feel:D...The install was very easy since I've done hundreds of cams, heads and motors when I was a Ford Engine repair tech...Well the rumble is awsome! Not one complaint about the cams. (Highly recommend Brenspeed).

I said I did not use a torque wrench on the cam caps. I have an excellent feel using a 1/4 wrench. By the way I did use a torque wrench (SNAP ON) on the VCT bolts...Oh and I did use torque wrenches on all customers critical engine parts from 2001 to 2008 with a lot of success!

All I can say is experience and confidence and I do NOT recommend the average guy doing this.
Anyway my car runs great! I get about 1 1/5 miles per gallon less in the city (car has 20,000 miles).
I recommend BEFORE you all get cams installed use compressed air to blow out debris from the top of the engine/valve covers (I use a blow gun with rubber hose attached). I noticed many do not do this(from looking at close up pictures on line). A lot dirt could fall inside the engine when you pull the valve covers off the heads!
