Hey guys. Living down here in Florida is wreaking havoc on the front bumper of my GT because there are so many bugs. I was wondering what bug remover is recommended? and to extend that question how often should I use bug/tar remover? Is it safe to apply every day or no? I also heard that you are not supposed to wax a brand new car for a few weeks but that worries me because I am worried the bugs will begine to destroy that front bumper.

I carry this stuff called Poorboys Bug Squash. I use it for my business all the time. You can use it full strengthy for bad baked on bugs or diluted 3:1 just to keep it up. It will not harm the wax. I spray the whole car down with water, spray some Bug Squash on the are with bugs and wait about 2 minutes. I then come back and the bugs come right off. It is under my website under Poorboys World products. www.obsessivedetail.com

I haven't used PB Bug squash but I have read it's really good. What I have used and workes well is Pinnacle Safe Scrub Bug & Tar Pad. If fells very coarse when dry but when you dip in a very soaping solution and let it absorbe the soap if softens up and glides accros the paint catching bugs. You just have to keep it soaked in soap (more foam the better like Megs NXT or Gold Class car soap not dishwashing soap) and it won't scratch your paint. I just used it on my Mother in-laws black Lexus and it did not induce swirls/marring at all, I just made damn sure it was covered in soap and foam (black with show your mistakes).

I use 1 part Simple Green and 1 part water in a spray bottle. Spray on bumper, glass and side mirrors. Let sit a couple a minutes and wash car like normal. Bugs will wipe off easy with soft sponge. My Benz from 6 hour trip, before and after.
