I have the same pedestal-mounted Crane 1.7 roller rockers 44746-16. The choice will depend on that head/cam/intake mods you're planning later on. If you're looking for power at 6000+rpm, you're gonna need a longer duration cam with more lift and stiffer valve springs, in which case a set of adjustable stud-mounted rockers would be a better choice.
The pedestal-mounted rockers will do fine if you're going to stay below 6000rpm and you're building the engine for torque at lower rpm.

Correct. It's a GT and I have the 1.7 ratio Crane RR's 44746-16. If I had a Cobra, these roller rockers would have already been in the engine as standard. No clearance issues with the stock valve cover and stock gaskets.

I personally like my cam to do the lift. Go with 1.6 b351's or other 1.6 rockers. also you will benefit from more camshaft choices.
