.....at least some things about it suck. Just got my car and now I'm having to address things that are "starting" to happen. Sometimes when I turn the wheel to the left, there is a pop sound from the steering column. The wheel stops, I keep turning anyway, then the pop sound occurs and the wheel turns. Its like there is something getting stuck in the steering column. I haven't had a chance to look at it b/c it started last night in the dark. Now its raining and I can't get out and look at it......I can't stop thinking about it so this post is the result of my frustration. Thanks.

If your talking about a fox then you better get used to seeing problems from a 13-19 year old car.

Yes, that's why used cars are cheaper.

As for your problem, my old 91 GT used to make a noise like that when I pulled into our old driveway that had a gutter in front of it. Five years later, the problem is still there. And I have found no wear issues anywhere in the steering column or rack.

More info on car please. Year, type, etc.

True. I knew what I was getting into when I purchased the car. Its a 1988 Mustang GT with a 5speed transmission.

I should have clarified my disappointment. I've owned the car for a week today, there are problems with the car that I was aware of (doors hard to open, speedo is wrong, little rust.......) but I hate having problems occur that I didn't know about or maybe the guy didn't tell me everything. Just part of the game. I've always wanted a 5.0 and now I have one...:nice:
