Bye Bye Grabber Orange GT.... :(

Ordered our Fusion Hybrid today. They said it's a "lottery" when building these cars, so it could be 6 weeks or 4 months. So everyone PMing me about parts, I will take them off as soon as I know my car will be here within a week.

My last car was an 07 fusion, wonderfull car did everything well with room to spare. As a fusion owner I can tell you it is an absolutely wonderful car to own, only car I had absolutely zero complaints about. Sold my 04 vert when the little man came, some regret but right decision. That backwards facing seat dominates a good part of the car

Dude, most of my cars are paid for, it's called getting old..... I do make two big car payments, but I wouldn't say I was "rich", I only make about $7000 a month. To me, that's poor, or at the most, middle of the road.

But even then, when I was pulling down $2500 a month, I drove a '72 Chevelle to work over 100 miles a day. I had a stay at home wife and two kids at the time too.... I guess peoples priorities are different. I would rather drive a Mustang than anything imported no matter WHAT the reason is.

Driving a Mustang every day is not my priority, nor should it be any responsible person’s priority. My priority is to provide a nice home to live in, food on the table and a car we can all fit comfortably in.

What's your wife drive?

I bought a slush-o 'Stang so if I am kid hauling, I take the Xterra and the wife cruises the 'Stang.

My wife drives an Explorer. I don't kid haul, so she needs the Explorer every day. We don't drive the Explorer for vacation, just around here. That's why we need a 4 door. The closes family I have is 11 hours away, and my parents are 24 hours driving distance away.

"there is NOTHING that you can build for the street that I couldn't build out of a Mustang for cheaper and kick your ass" I think your typing finger engaged before your brain did.
In 1970 I had a 69 Mach 1 428 SCJ that would run 12.7s Me and a friend built a 27 T bucket, 427 SOHC with 2 4s, C6 and 9in with 3.30 gears, M/T street tires that were made for racing, about 18 inch wide. We had less that $1,000. in this car when done. We went to the strip one day and he lets me out and pulls to the line for a time run, 8.50s at 165 mph. Now a Mustang, back then, that had the same stuff in it would MAYBE run close to that but I would guess more like 10s. The T weighed less than 1200 LBs. 1200lbs was the cut off for fenders or no fenders. By the way, they only let him run it one time, Missing a few safety things. That car was awesome driving around on a Friday night.
