so i have to selll my gt :(
its getting up there in miles i want a stick and if it gets crashed i will not get half my money out of it so it going bye bye but i plan on getting another mustang soon after i sell this one im going to save for about 5 months then plan on getting maybe a mach 1

That's too bad :(

Good luck finding a nice Mach... you may want to consider looking at the 05+ stangs as well or if you're on a budget perhaps a 99-01 Cobra which is basically the same as a Mach 1 but you'll probably find better prices on them.

I thought you just put 5 grand in it? You are all over the place, no need to sell the gt just to get into a mach, yes they are nicer with 2 extra valves but it will be hard to get 6 grand if that for yours and then add another 5-6 for a mach with 100K miles. Not worth that imo when you can build a motor and s/c it for that.

i just have 135xxx and so much in it i want stick i want more power and it had a salvige title so if it ever gets totaled again i will only get 2k and that would prob not even be enuff to fix it

Being a salvage title you won't get much at all. I wouldn't even own a salvage title car unless I rebuilt it from the ground up and the frame had no damage what so ever (and then it would have to be at least a viper). That mach looks ok, but I would guess that with drag radials and the additions it has seen its fare share of track time. It isn't a bad thing if it has been meticulously taken care of, if it was beat and put away wet you are going to be even deeper in that car.

Good call on that. I wouldn't worry on a all stock or stock plus cai and exhaust, but other mods past that would warrant more searching. Those drag radials, fuel pump and gauges are telling me there might have been a power adder on this car at one time.

Exactly, WTF does a guy need a wideband sensor for on a stock car, unless it's just a ricer w/ a wideband gauge hooked up to a narrow band sensor... either way that car was beaten up on the track or driven recklessly by some boy racing ricer

Agreed. Stay away from cars that look like rice. Rice = beat on.

No one puts drag radials on a car they baby.

If you think about ever getting your money back out of a car, you are in the wrong frame of mind. I am sorry, but cars unless you buy something that is rare you will hardly ever get you money back out or break even.

If you want a Mach fine, but changing do to "get you money back out of investment" then you need to take you money and put in the bank and not by a car.

Also just another thought, if you can't afford your GT now, what makes you think you can get a Mach? I know there are people on here NOW that wouldn't trade their GT for a mach, but ask that question when we were all looking for our cars we would much rather have a mach or cobra vs the gt, but our budgets simply wouldn't allow for it. Reaching for the stars and having high hopes and admirations is great, but sometimes those bubbles need to burst. I have had a tough time realizing that where I am at in life, but I think I am slowly grasping that my budget won't allow for everything I want to do to the Mustang as well as other endevours. All you can do is make the most of what you have currently and look forward to what you will have 10-15 yrs from now :nice:

Great statement. Back in 1993 I was looking at brand new Mustangs and they had a '93 Black Cobra for $20K. That was just out of my range. I ended up getting a '93 GT instead. One of my best friends still has his '93 Red Cobra. I have'nt done anything to my Mach in 3 years. Just no extra money, and the stuff I'd like to do would be just too expensive. When I lived in the midwest I had money to burn all the time. Not here.
