I just installed the JLT cold air induction kit (I bought the kit that can be used on 96-98 cobras and the Bullitt), my cars a 97 gt w/ the bullitt intake.
Anyway, after installing I can't seem to fit my strut tower brace back on and don't really see how it'll fit. It just sits too high on the plastic JLT tube (passenger side).
I have a couple of questions:
1) Have you guys had any problem fitting your strut tower brace after installing a CAI?
2) Is there an aftermarket strut tower brace that may fit better (well, not better, just actually fit?)
3) I had polyurethane motor mounts recently installed and the engine seems to sit just a little bit higher, if this is the problem is it even possible to have the CAI and strut tower brace installed?

I wonder if the STB for a cobra would fit, I think they're slightly raised to accomadate for the larger intake system...hopefully other stangers can chime in.

btw, how do u like the JLT system? I haven't test drove my car yet with it.

The engine doesn't really vibrate much in the chassis, nothing out of the ordinary. I got the self lubricating motor mounts (black ones) so they shouldn't start squeaking later from Energy Suspension and they seem to be a high quality product. They're supposed to last longer and be more durable than rubber.

I had the same problem so what I did was cut the cai tube to move it closer to the throttle body in order for it to work. It took me a long time to get it to work but now everything works perfectly. You can try something like this but I also don't know what your cai looks like in conjunction with your stb so I don't know if this would be possible with your car.
