Calling 94-95 GT w/ aftermarket clutch!

hey, I need a new clutch, but don't want to wreck my pedal feel... it's so unique because it's a consistant pressure all the way to the floor... unlike the newer, or older mustangs... anyone have an aftermarket one in the Seattle area I could feel out? thnx guys...

i have a king cobra clutch in mine.

The strength of the pressure plate will affect pedal effort, but the consistency has more to do with the design of the quadrant. I'd lose the stock quadrant if you still have it, they suck . I have a Spec Stage 1 clutch that I'm pretty happy with, although when I replace my tranny I'll probably just get a King Cobra.

-can I get a stronger, more reliable quadrant that's like the stock feel? I really like how mine is... and I'd prefer not to conform to every other car out there

hey Brian... if your going to change out your quadrant let me know and we can do it together. i want to change mine out too. i could get a Steeda and you could get "whatever" and we can compare.

yeah... at the time they they changed out my clutch i didn't know what a quadrant was so i asked that they not change it. now i'm wishing i had changed it but oh well.

I have the spec stage I in mine along with the steeda quadrant and firewall adjuster and low friction cable as well kinda of took time to get use to but now i like it. peace

I got a bbk adjustible quadrant. you are gonna need it if you have a good clutch under ya. the stock plastic ones are sucky. I bought the McLeod stage 3 clutch and that bugger is stiff as hell. I'm worried that my knee will start popping when I'm in stop and go.

yeah the motor is out of the car again soo... don't think I'm gonna let anybody drive the car with the new setup, I dunno.

well, how about feeling your clutch? I assume the tension is similar if the car were in working order

welll.. since the clutch is attatched to the flywheel, and my motor is out of the car...
