Ok guys, I will have about $2500 to get as many upgrades as possible over this winter. See my sig for what I have to date. The horsepower bug has really bitten and I want to up the ante.

Right now there is three things I want to accomplish. Heads, Cams and clutch install. My installer wants to pull the engine to make all the upgrades.

I have several options with the heads which includes Patriot Heads to Fox Lake porting on my orginals.

The cams I've narrowed down to Comp Cam XE270 or the Rick Anderson N-22.

As far as the clutch goes, I'm pretty much open.

It looks like total labor is going to be in the neighborhood of $800-$1000.

Should I skip the heads and just go with the Cams for now? Should I go ahead and get a spring upgrade now also?

With my current mods and tune I'm puttin down about 264hp at the wheels.

My goal is to make over 300hp at the wheels and keep it streetable since it is a daily driver in the warmer months. Obviously with a limited budget, I'm trying to stretch it as far as it will go since I don't think my budget will cover everything I want to do.

Any input will be appreciated. Thanks.

I'd definate;y do the cams first. Think of it this way. With the cams in you'll make about 15-20 more at the rear wheels. Right now you don't NEED the ported heads. THey will give you 10-15 rwhp. If you port the heads afterwards, you'll easily gain 25 rwhp or more. I'd say cams, clutch (Mcleod) and you'll have a little left over for some odds and ends. You can always find some small things to put on. Save for the p&p heads and you'll really notice it.
