Cam lope...what cam lopes like this?

I LIKE I LIKE ^^^^^^^^^^

What exhaust is that? custom cam?

I see you have a tweecer r/t. How involved is it to fix the idle with that low of lsa? Is it EXTREMLY complicated? Or will reading about it for a couple days straight do me good enough to fix an idle with a 112 lsa?

When that was recorded -- BBK longtubes, Dr. Gas offroad X-pipe, and MAC cat-back. Today I'm changing the cat-back to Magnaflow (I'm not real thrilled with how the X-pipe sounds with the MAC chambered mufflers for daily driving). The cam is a custom cam, not real aggressive but with a relatively narrow LSA for a 94/95 car -- 110*.

It was trivial to fix :). Don't even bother with the GT calibration, go directly to J4J1 (94/95 Cobra) and start tweaking from there. Just switching to the J4J1 fixed the idle surge from that cam. All you have to do is program the J4J1 with the correct MAF curve and injector size. Then make it a bit more aggressive in the timing and fuel tables, similar to a GT (or even more, if you just put on aluminum heads, they seem to love timing).

Thanks man, sounds like a plan about the tweecer.

I was thinking about getting an X for my long tubes into a flowmaster catback. You think i should stick with the H?

What dont you like about it? Sounds pretty mean on that clip you posted.

At idle it sounds very deep, and I have no complaints. At WOT, it sounds like NASCAR (I haven't heard it from outside the car, but I know that it's damn loud, and everyone at the track tells me it sounds wicked when I'm at WOT).

It's part throttle that annoys me -- in the 2000 to 3000 RPM range, it has a very hollow sound to it, like you're listening through a straw, and it gets a metallic tapping sound, like someone is hitting the exhaust pipes with a small hammer. Hard to describe better than that -- I just don't like that sound much at all. And I spend more time at part throttle than idle or WOT :).

So yes, I'd suggest an H-pipe with chambered mufflers. You should find one that you can listen to in person -- some people do like the sound of an X with chambered mufflers, maybe you will too .

Humm I'm wishing I got long tube headers and not the shorty ones :( same with the H-pipe, oh well that's what E-bay is for right LOL. I just need to find the cam that sounds the badass LOL I can care less about the drone sound I ran mine with just the H-pipe for a week and let me tell you holy crap LOL drove by a soccer field and down shifted and took off my friend said I made the girl miss the soccer ball LOL I was surprised that I never got pulled over for noise pollution :D. I do have a sound clip of it too the car would sound a whole lot better if it had a nice loby cam :)
