In your opinion what is the best cam to use with the stock heads?

I like the sound of the X but heard it isn't a good idea...... Any thoughts?

you could go with the b303 or just run the 1.72 roller rockers on your heads and leave the stock cam alone. Using the 1.72's your lift would be .477 instead of the stock .444

if you just want a noise maker pick any cam you want. The f-cam sounds like a monster, but you will have hondas passing you left and right.

I say pick a cam that was designed specifically for the heads you are using....

I agree keep the stock cam and get a set of 1.72 rocker arms, it's not worth the time and expense to install a cam for minimal gains with stock heads. You're better off saving up and getting a cam and head combo

Custom cam if you want power.

B-cam if you want sound.

Stock cam and 1.7s if you want to spend the money most wisely.

its usually a good idea to change the springs for a fresh set. if you are keeping the stock cam then go with stock springs. Aftermarket cam, get a spring set rated for the amount of lift you are looking at.

Just for rocker arms springs aren't required but a set of hardened push rods would be a nice idea

The stock cam is actually not as bad as people make it out to be.

The heads are what sucks. I've seen GT40/GT40P headed cars into the 12's with the stock cam.

It's all about making parts work together.
