I've been having trouble with my 2-3 shift for a while now. It feels like I hit a wall when going into 3rd gear with a steeda shifter or the factory shifter. I was told my a Ford tech it was a bent shift fork. I'm not saying I don't believe him. Just wondering if it could be a clutch problem before I go into fixing a tranny. All other gears are fine except the 2-3.

thanks

The car has 19,000 miles on it. Its a 03 gt. Warranty was voided along time ago (long story don't wanna get into it), but the clutch and tranny has seen alot of abuse, the clutch more than the tranny. When I raced my car I was dumping the clutch at 6000,6200 rpms. The car has over 120 passes on it at a 1/8 mile strip.

No grinding, but it is hard to make smooth shifts in the car during normal driving. No extra noisyness either. The 2-3 shift is only effected at higher rpms, during normal driving you can not tell there is anything wrong with the tranny. Everybody in gods name has drove my car to see if they could hit 3rd gear and no one can, including experienced racers and performance shop owners. Hope this helps some
