Can a Trans Am be that fast stock?

One of my good friends just traded his truck in on a 2000 Trans Am with only 22,000 miles on it. Its pretty much stock except for the Flowmaster. On top of that, it's not even the Ram Air and its not a 6 speed. Anyways, I raced him and he beat me the first time!! I couldn't believe it. We raced again and I didn't pull on him until 4th gear! It's hard to believe bc I've raced Ram Airs and SS's and there not to much of a problem. And on top of that, the other day I raced a Z28 with NOS and pulled on him more than my friends T/A. You can see the mods I have and my car is running fine. I just don't understand how my car can have 320 hp stock with all my mods and get beat by a stock T/A thats only putting out about 315 hp. Can anyone explain? Thanks

Your probably making the same rwhp with less rwtq (with all your mods) then the LS1 w/catback. I have seen several LS1 auto fbodies dyno 330-345rwhp with nothing more than intake and exhaust (this is on an auto ). Around here, stock auto Ls1's are trapping 104-105's easy and M6's trap 106-109mph stock. The cobras around here dont seem to put up the numbers people on the internet say they get. Most 99-01 cobras stock trap between 97-102mph. Let say you picked up 3-4mph from your mods, your in the range of stock/lightly modded LS1's.
