Can I remove this without tune?

Tommorow I pick up my 06 vista blue GT 5spd coupe. I was reading here " http://www.alternativeauto.com/prodserv/05mustang_tune.html " and saw by removing Pre-Catalytic Converter I free up 5 rwhp. Can I do this without a tune?

If you are getting an '06, it is already gone.

Ford removed it late-2005 model year.

I think this has been gone over more than a few times for us 05 owners, but I removed mine....no noticable loss, no noticable gain, no problems.....
