can someone decode my VIN?

ok its a 1971 Mustang, but you'll find out if you decode it. I need some info for a school project. Any help would be awsome. the vin is 1FO1L181014. I got all the info off the door decoder already, i just need to know what the vin tells me. espicially the date it was built. I hate to say it I waited till almost the last second and its due on Friday. Thanks in advance for the help.

hmmm.... how do I find out the date my car was made? Do i need the buildsheet... because that is long lost. thanks for the help.

Youll hafta get a vin report from marti.

Just curious but why bother with a '71 6cyl coupe? thats really the bottom of the barrel and a 71-73 mach1 could be had for like $1,500 driveable with no major rust these days.

Install it on a laptop and take it with you anywhere. The easiest way to find the month/year of build is to look on the door data plate. For more info FREE call Ford Customer Service and ask for a "999" report. That will give you the build date and the factory options. Hope this helps.
