Can supercharger seals dry up if sitting?

If your Paxton uses some form of oil lubrication from the engine or even if it uses self contained oil, that's where the lubrication comes from. Parts stored in a bag don't need lubrication.

I would replace at least the Seals... Hate to get it installed and find out you have a dry rotted seal..

My car sat for a long time (months, maybe year plus), fired it up, pulled out of the garage, let it idle for a few minutes. Went to the gas station, came back to find an oil puddle. Oiled everything under the hood and was dripping. Wiped everything down, fired it, let it idle; no leak. Drove it a 100 miles, not a drop. Then went 300+ miles, no leak. The only thing that made sense was the front seal dried out, then sealed once saturated. Vortech V1, S-trim. FWIW.
