I hooked up a autometer temp gauge in my 1990. I am using the stock sender the since the guy I bought them from did not have the one for the gauge. I noticed before I start the car and it is cool the gauge reads at 150 degrees then shoots up as the car runs. Is this because I am using the factory sender instead of the autometer or is it a bad gauge.

When I put in my cyberdyne dash I had to replace water temp and oil pressure.I don't think you can reuse the stock sensor.Like the person said before me it is a cheap sensor.

when i start my car cold the temp dosent read below 150 like yours does and i am using a autometer guage with the sender that came with the guage
