Can't get smog pump off...

I'm removing all my smog crap and i'm having trouble getting the front bolt out. The back one was easy but the front one, after coming out about an inch is hitting the pully on the front of the pump. Do I have to take the pully off to get the bolt out or is there some trick? Please tell me i don't have to take the pully off, I tried and much difficulty.

you dont have to take the pully off, i took my smog of on thursday without a problem, just the 2 bolts.

I think it might be different for the sn95's. I just got mine off but i had to take the pully off.

If you need to take the pulley off, leave the belt on and loosen the bolts with an air rachet. If you don't have air, then use a wrench and tap it with a hammer... one of the two should work for you

I took mine off a long time ago no problem, 2 bolts. try some lubrican such as wd40 or liquid wrench or use a breaker bar if it's on hard. Pipe is your friend
