anyone else up at 5:30 am? :notnice::(

i got dumped on at school and this week has been really crazy. Ive had stuff to do early in the morning, like from 8-11 am, but then nothing til later at night. So my sleep schedule is all out of whack because i sleep for 3 or 4 hours at "night" and then 3 or 4 more in the afternoon when ive got no class or anything. im also trying to stay healthy / in shape so ive cut back on alcohol during the week and try not to eat a bunch of crap just because its fast. Still though, i simply cannot fall asleep when i want to or should. It just sucks because i know ill be up for the rest of the night, and as soon as i sit down for my 8am class ill crash and be worthless for my morning routine. I do not drink coffee. if im going to get addicted to a drug, i'd rather it be a sleeping pill. That way i at least get the proper amount of sleep rather than running on adrenaline all day and then crashing later.

Anyone do sleeping pills?

I use the sticky icky to pass out...it works :D:rlaugh:

Haha, nice.

Exactly what is your schedule? I'm confused. How late are your night classes? Can't you request a schedule change?

The problem with sleeping pills is that a LOT of them on the market today run the risk of making you dependent... In other words, after you use it for a while, your body needs the drug to fall asleep. Its like an addiction, but with serious side effects when you try to quit. We're not talking like a mild headache when you go a day without coffee, but days of insomnia. Sounds more like a problem than a solution to me.

Did you know straight black coffee actually has health benefits? Look it up. Its loaded with antioxidants, and can be considered part of your daily fluid intake. Just don't load it up with cream and sugar.

thanks for the reply.

My class schedule has all my classes in the morning and afternoon. But i work on homework and projects and stuff with friends late at night. Recently it has been hours worth of work in several classes. I realize i should probably start all the before 8 pm, but my friends have other activities and obligations so thats usually when they want to meet. Thats why i generally sleep in the afternoon. Makes my sleep schedule really choppy.

What you said about the sleeping pills comes as no surprise and is exactly why i have not bought any. Just thought i'd ask.

Didnt know that about coffee, either. Still cant get around the stained teeth though lol.
