Car falling on face after install of mods

A few things to check...

Did you pull the spout connector out to set the timing? You should.

Can you read the timing at all? I'm thinking that you may just have the dizzy in a bit off from where it needs to be.

IF the timing is correct than a vacuum leak would be my next guess from here. Double check your intake gaskets and upper to lower gasket...they are the usual suspects for vacuum leaks. But also look to be sure all the hoses or places for hoses that connect to the upper intake and the PVC are hooked up or plugged.

Are all the injectors plugged in?

What MAF do you have? Brand, size...

30# injectors will be fine on your car.

You shouldn't have any issues with the stock EEC IMO...at least not as bad as they sound for you.

We are working on the timing with a timing gun, but with little to no success.
then keep trying! If your timing is off you will not be able to get your car running right. Whenever I put my distributer back on and it was off, my car would spit, sputter, try to start, then backfire really loud. Get your timing fixed before you do anything else if you havent done that allready and go from there. Just saying that because I havent seen anywhere where you said you got the timing fixed yet.

I have a pretty close setup to what u got.

I am running 14 degress timing fp at 30 vacum on, on 89 octane gas with no pinging, but i think it is running lean.

you should run it at 12-14 degrees timing and 32-36 fp with the vacum on.

I fixed the problem. I was sent the wrong injectors by some goober on Ebay. The color of the injectors was off, but the seller claimed that the injectors were an "older style", even though I don't think 30lb injectors have ever been any other color other than red from Ford, and these injectors had the Ford emblem on them. The damn injectors were only 16lbs!!! Luckily someone who has the same 16lb injectors on their truck recognized them and started to doubt the authenticity.

After I ran all over town and managed to borrow some 30lb injectors, the car starts up and will idle. The ECU is definitely questioning its existance right now, but the car is running.

Thanks for all the help everyone.

I'm going to be running the stock FPR for a few days. Should I worry about running too lean at any point? My thoughts are that the car will run too rich if anything, because the stock FPR is going to be keeping the pressure up, as if I still had the stock 19lb injectors. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

 16lbs that's nucking futs contact that POS and try to get your money back and let ebay know and see if they can help. As far as the fuel pressure goes invest in a fuel pressure gauge and see for your self you don't want to run around lean. If you do start to run lean I would suspect it would be around 4000 rpm's when the engine is asking for a lot of fuel and just listen for any pinging (detonation) at any piont.
