Hey guyz my motor is missing like crazy at high rpms under load. At a stop you put it in neutral and rev all you want, no missing. Even first gear not noticable unless you floor it and spin like a mofo. In every other gear though if you floor it, past 3K it missis like crazy. At one point I tested this out by flooring it in second as soon as I got an opening and it was missing up to about 5K gradually getting worse. After 5K it missed so bad that the engine died. Pulled off the road and let the motor cool a sec and bam started right up. Man I gotta keep so lite on the gas to keep it from sputtering. I checked my Crane Ignition Box and everything is ok with that. Checked my wires (theres only about 3k miles on that stuff). The coil is a crane LX 92, that and the box are about 1 year old. Got a optima red top 3k miles on it and its putting out enough voltage. Checked all the ignition box connections...the only thing I havent done is check the spark plug's but there new with the motor 3k miles on them too. Any ideas? My best guess it that my fairly new expensive LX92 coil might be going bad. I'll check my plugs and try the stocker coil when I get a chance. But if you have any other ideas lemme know what ya think.

Just a guess.... it sounds like a "load" problem. I do know our EEC uses the MAF to determine engine load, so you might want to start there. Check on the tweecer and eec tuner boards for info on load and see if what you are experiencing can be related to a problem with the MAF or something. I'll think about it more today and see what else I come up with.

I guess I'll check the MAF but this started happening all of a sudden yesterday. Without any changes to the maf or cpu or anything thing at all for that matter. Oh mayybe the fuel pump... I'll check and see if pressure drops when I rev it excessively...but its not making any funny sounds....hmmmm

Hey if anyone is interested...I know you might be killercanary....I've narrowed it down to the fuel system. Basically when I rev it the fuel pressure drops like 5-8 pounds at 3 grand. Thats non normal...anyways gonna change the fuel filter and hopefully that will do it. Otherwise its the pump or a lines kinked or plugged. But hopefully the filter will do the trick since the pump aint making any funny noises.
