My wife's 94 has been nothing but problems everysince I bought it. It all started when you would drive it to the store and when you would come out it would not start. go home come back few hours later it would start and run great. So I threw every part I could at it trying to solve the problem. Here is the stuff I did.

New coil, ignition module, 1 used distributer 1 new reman Autozone one, brand new pip from Ford in the Autozone dizzy, new computer, fuel filter, pulgs, wires, new p-mas mass air, tps, coolant temp sensor and intake temp sensor Im sure there is something else Im not thinking of. The timing is @14* the fuel pressure is @ 39psi.

It will crank just fine just no start.

I know the 94-95 do computer do not run well with bolt ons without a tune, I do not have a tune. Would not having a tune cause this start whenever it feels like it symptoms???

Any help at all would be appreicated before I sell it to the first person I see. THANKS

An engine in need of a tune will start but may run poorly. The issue certainly sounds like a heat soak issue. Does the car ALWAYS start up when it's cold? Out of all your parts you replaced, you didn't mention the dizzy cap & rotor; I presume they were replaced as well.

Random thought, have you checked out ground wires? There is one ground wire leading form the driver's motor mount to the frame. There are two more ground screws coming off the negative battery cable, and one more next to the hood prop rod.

Have you tested to see if you have fuel and spark? You have fuel pressure, but are the injectors pulsing? You can use a test light to check the injector pulsing.

Check the wiring harness to see if you have any pinched or melted wire loom or wires themselves.

Agreed with Matt and checking for fuel and spark when it acts up. Check fuel pressure while at it.

If she partially depresses the gas pedal while cranking, will it catch?

We tried to patrially push the pedal with no luck. The fuel pressure stays right a round 39-40 when is does not start. The engine does have the ground strap by the motor mount, I even took it off and cleaned the connections plus I put on another strap on the other side of the motor. I checked and the 2 comming off the battery are hooked up.
The EGR is removed and a delete plug from EBAY pluged into the plug.
Next time I can get it not to start I will check the injectors pulse.
THANKS

Hmmm, after re-reading your first post, the only ignition component left affected by heat soak that you haven't replaced is the TFI module. It's under the intake tube, and it's mounted on a heat sink.

I did replace the TFI I called it the ignition module in my first post. I wish I could find the ignition component that is failing when hot. I just drove it and turned it off at my friends house, but it started right up when I left. Hard to diagnose the problem when it does that.

Heres an update, my wife drove the car today to work and it started everytime. She parked it in the garage at home 5hrs ago and just a while ago I tried to see if it would start and it just cranked. I quickly got out the noid light and a spare spark plug to check air/fuel. Well it is getting fire and it has fuel pressure (39psi) and the injectors are firing. WTF could cause it not to start???
