I'm not so sure that it's the correct cam. What is the firing order? It should be 1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8.

Here's the Comp Cam link

COMP Cams - Cam Details

I believe the reference to C.I is a carburated application otherwise they usually indicate C.I. and EFI

Since 94 mustangs are roller and i put in a Flat Tappet what does that mean.

I am lost now.

Should i just buy a roller cam and lifter set or will what i have be fine for right now.

I guess i don't know what you mean.

as far as the firing order, I believe i had it at the one you listed but it kept back firing an wouldnt start an fouling plugs an ****.

But then on the cam card that came with the cam it listed a different firing order which was something different, and when we changed it to that firing order it stopped back firing an started an stopped fouling out plugs.

What part # does the warranty card show? It should give the Serial, Part and Grind numbers.

Will have to post it tomorrow because the card is with my car in my step dads garage.

It seemed to run good today when we changed the timing. What is the worst that can happen with that cam. I am asking being i really don't know.

Because i have a flat tappet cam an lifters. I would think if i matched roller with tappet it would make a problem.

But if the cam is what makes the firing order, an if i go off the firing order on the warranty card thing, wouldn't i be fine.

I honestly don't know. There may be differences in the push rod lengths between roller rocker and flat tappet lifters. Is the firing order 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8? That was the firing order up to about 1984.

To be on the safe side I would phone Comp Cams Tech support tomorrow.

Their number is 1-800-999-0853.

Okay, so you are probably fine. Now I'm wondering how the PCM knows there is a different firing order so it can pulse the injectors in the correct order or are you carburated?
