Carb fuel inlet question *pic inside*

87 Mustang GT with a double pumper carb

I have this fuel line kit and was needing to know...teflon tape on the threads going into the carb or no? Ive read mixed answers about it some saying yes for the good seal, some saying no because teflon tape makes it too easy to overtighten and tape fragments going into the carb. If I used it I would just use it on the bottom of the threads but I figured I would roll with Stangnet's advice
