No reason to have any more than 600-650 cfm on that set up; as to makes, I'll let others lead that debate. If it's a street car, I'd say anything but a Holley. (fire away!) As for fuel pressure - follow the carb manufacturer's recommendation.

What Michael Yount said.I don't know about not going with a holley, as you could find a used rebuilt holleys for fair price and that would save you some cash.If you willing to put down around $400 for a good carb, take a look at the Barry Grant Speed Demon line of carbs.I run a 750 mec. sec. Speed Demon on my 357 (.030 351W), it's a very nice carb.I personaly wouldent touch an Edelbrock carb.

barry grant speed demon 650. MMMMM.

Take your pick,

Mechanical secondaries,

Vacuum secondaries,

I would say go with the mechanical secondary if you're running a 5sp tranny, or the vacuum if you're running an automatic.

I bought my 650 mech off the same guy and i could NOT have been more pleased with the service, ship time, or price. Excellent guy to deal with. Includes the feed lines and warranty all for less than the retailers get for just the carb!!!
