hi there !

on a 1979 2.3L mustang ( y code engine )

did someone has ever swap a the carb by something else ?

i've big problem with mine and i would like to found another carb ..... maybe without all this mess of vacumm outlet i have on mine

my problem is that it run very well but with 20 liters for 100 km ..... in us mesure it gives around 70 miles with 5.3 gallons

more ! : it run well with my my mixture totaly closed ...totaly lean ! ?

I agree with rustbucket fuel getting into engine somehow. Not real familiar with carb type.Cheaper to fix. esslingerracing.com has some intakes for differant types. Made for racing not inexpensiveand won't met pollution laws but then again changing to differant carb will not either. The other possibility is to convert to newer efi from a donor vehicles if avaiable. sorry not much help.

buying parts for it , isn't a problem , i buy a lot of parts for my 69 .

the float are ok , that what i've sink about : gas must come from another way ... but where ? , i've dismantled the carb , put new seal ... nothing change!

too hard to find an efi from another vehicule

i'm good to have a look at esslingerracing

i've look at summint racing , htey have 2 barrels carbs , but are going to bolt on my intake ??
