I got some old centerline wheels from my friend, only i have never seen these before they look like auto drags but have holes like draglites. Does anyone know what wheels these are? Does anyone else run these?
convo e.t's huh they kind of look like warriors but dont have the teardrop hole. think of a weld draglite but it has the rivets around it like the autodrag wheel.
I think that might be it i did a google search and saw them on some chevy's i have not found another fox with them they are in great shape i just need to polish them the fronts are 3.5 wide and i still have to check the rear size and back space. Do you guys know anyone else that may have them?
i've got 15 x 7 autodrags on my 86 vert. centerlines are good rims unless you do alot of hard cornering. like twisty mt. roads. in so. cal we have angeles crest hwy and driving it once or twice a week the rivets get loose, and you can't hold air. i've broken 2 rims where the whole center breaks out just above and around the lugs. they're only guaranteed for 1 yr. the old centerlines are a true 2 piece wheel. the rivets are there not for looks. they do make them now from billet.
I just measured them they are 8.5" wide with a backspacing of 4.5". What would be a good tire to run. I feel that the 275/60/15 on it now is too tall it rubs the ground effects. i want to run drag radial.
mine have a 5" backspace, and i'm runnin 265/50/15 on the rear (which are too wide for a 7" rim. it works but the tires wear in the middle). 215/60/15 in front which works good. maybe you could use a 295/50/15. 4.5" backspace might not be enough
The wheels stick out about 1/4 to 1/2 inch past the quarter. I like the wheels and want to keep them. The car is not a show car more of a track car very rare street car. I think i may have to cut the quarter i want to run at mininum a 275/50/15 max a 325/50/15.
