Do most of you prefer a centrifical blower as apposed to a roots type blower? Does anyone even make a roots blower for an application like a Mustang?
Anthony, you refer to the Whipple as being a 2.8Liter. As far as I know the Whipple 140AX for the S197 is a 2.3Liter, Correct me if Im wrong and you have any more info on this I would be interested in seeing.anthony05gt said:That new Magnacharger is a hybrid. It's a cross between a roots and twin screw. If you plan on track time, the Procharger seems to be the way to go. Among the centrifugals, it's the coolest running and has the coolest air charge. The bottom end torque is right on and the HP and TQ curves just steady climb up the rpm band. I installed mine in about 12-13 hours. Way easy! If you want the torque planted much more at the bottom end of the rpm band then go with a roots or twin screw. They are more expensive and are much more involved as far as the install goes. My personal favorite blower is the Ford Racing (Whipple) twin screw. The new 2.8L intercooled system is just about ready to be released. The supplied hand tuner has the absolute best up to date tune software which will give great trouble free performance. If you decide on a Procharger, it comes with everything you need right down to the last nut and bolt including a Diablosport Predator with a tune loaded and ready. I suggest staying at or below 8 lbs boost without a professional dyno tune with whatever blower you choose.

I still think your refering to the 2.3 L W140ax that is about to be released any day now. I have the black Intercooled kit on order and should be expecting it to ship within a couple weeks (so they say) I haven't heard of a 2.8 but it would be a nice surpriseanthony05gt said:They haven't released the big blower for the new stangs yet. It will be intercooled too. Supposed to be out soon.
TGJ, couldn't have said it better!
