Ceramic Coated or Chrome

The wax actually helps keep them clean or clean them, it burns off quickly.

HPC actually sells a cleaner as well for ceramic.

I used wax of MAC chrome tailpipes as well, keeps the chrome looking new and lasting. I found it worked better then any chrome cleaner...

Learn something new everyday. Thanks for the heads up Rick :nice:

The ceramic coating on the macs/bbks isn't all that great -- just a single coat on the outside.. The inside isn't even coated.. I doubt that the coating will give you that much improved header longevity.

Jet-Hot does a double-coating on the inside and outside. And gives you a rust through guarantee on any headers. If you want to do it right, that would be the only way to go.

Getting painted headers is best. That way you can scratch/ding/dent the **** out of your headers getting them to fit properly the first time. (especially important for longtubes). Then after you get it all figured out, send it out to jet-hot for a real coating.
