Check engine light problem

Thi sonly happens when I first start the car. It runs for about 30 seconds then the check engine light flashes 4 times and shuts off and I have also noticed that the fan kicks on while the light flashing and shuts off a minute later. I was just wondering if anyone has had this problem or knows what is wrong. Any help would be much appreciated.

It sounds like your car is going into diagnostic mode. We take a paperclip at the obd1 connector and short 2 terminals which allows us to get the comp into diagnostic mode.

Somewhere, there is something shorting out the Sig RTN on the main terminal and the STI terminal. Where, I don't know. But start at the connectors at the rear of the curb side strut tower, and go from there.
