nice work man! i got mine finished this weekend!!! i have been driving it around and it is sweet....i havent gotten into any boost yet but i can tell it is running aloooott better!

You will NOT have that problem... I have plenty of tickets already and this car will NOT be beat on for a while cause I kinda need it to travel across the state.

Wrapped the chain around the idler? Start it up.

I went to college at USF too. Lived accross the street off of Fletcher.

Oh yeah I forgot to tell you guys.. I had the engine in the air on the hoist and one of the chains popped off the hook. The whole back of the engine came swinging down and if the other chain for the idler didnt hold up I would have been severly ******, Luckily it didnt hit the ground and nothing was under it except for my knee which has a nice bruise on it now. We had to pick the back of it back up and put it back on the stand. It scared the crap out of me.

Ouch! Nothing like being smaked in the knee by 500 pounds. Sounds like you were lucky. Looks great. Hey why does everyone elses engine bay make mine look messy as poop!

Now the big question is will the car run? I still havent got mine started and i'm scared ass hell of it not working.

I know the feeling. I was more scared to start my stang after replacing a blown head gasket than when I originally did the heads/cam.

Mine is a fresh engine never run. If i was just doing the heads and what not I wouldent think twice. And i just found out what was wrong with my wiring o it's getting started tonight.

Jesus dood. forget the motor. you could have broken your knee had it come loose. talk about being lucky. you never want to put body parts under a motor on a hoist.
