chirping throwout bearing question

ok, so my throwout bearing is chirping on my newly installed clutch (900km ago) with a new throwout bearing installed. it chirps all the time, unless i put my foot on the clutch slightly

i have not been able to adjust the chirp out, ive tried the very top of the pedal, the very bottom, and now its somewhere in between, about 2.5 inches off the floor, and it chirps

the question is, if i just try to ignore it (turn the stereo up) is that going to cause damage to anything? or will it just hopefully go away?

mine also does this. I thought I just needed a new clutch.

might try actually dialing in some preload into the cable, if you have not.

IIRC, V8 only has a nice write up from a link in his sig on it (i still have not read it, but ECU loves the article and info).

Yeah, it's not a bad article. I'd say he's encountered 90% of the possibilities in the Fox clutch world and addressed them there, so it's a better read than most on the subject, but far from complete. Regardless, if you TB is chirping already then something is wrong. Either something wasn't done right, or it's defective (happens more than you'd think). That's it's way of telling you it's about to STB, and they usually don't do it for a long time. TB's typically outlive clutch discs in most Mustangs, with the exception of the stock assemblies on the old 10" ones. Sorry piece of luck to be sure, but you'll have to rip it back out if you want to shut it up. It shouldn't do major damage if you keep driving it, depending on what the problem/defect is. If it seizes up or grenades, you could have a small mess on your hands- but you've got some miles before you need too worry abouut that. I'd say don't park the car over it, but address it at your next to earliest convenience. Give a call to the tech support who made your clutch, it never hurts. You may get a new package out of the deal.
