ok first of all im new to the v8 fords im a former importguy. so i need some help here my car setup is pretty much stock. here's my setup 89 5.0l coupe 119,000 miles, cold air intake 2.5'' mac h pipe 2.5'' flowmaster catback headers on the way its a mass air flow motor steeda quad. adj cable king cobra clutch kit 355 rear gears but have 4.10's ready to go in.its my daily driver. i want a cam that idles a little sloppy but stays running just so i know i have a cam.ive never done a cam so im going to need some directions on how to do one.im also going to be doing an msd setup once my income tax check comes in.

I agree with the above post. Save for heads, then you can choose the best cam for your setup. If you are going to go through all the work of swapping a cam you might as well put on some nice heads.

ok so what are the best streetable heads that are price reasonably

Whats reasonable to you? The best bang for your buck would probably be some GT40Ps or maybe some Thumper E7s. I would try to find some used TWs or AFRs.

Do a search on cams and heads. There is plenty threads out there on what you are asking about.

ebay usually has a few deals on gt-40's and gt40p's. Then if you wanted you could still send them to thumper to be ported. Lots of power to be had in the irons if done right.

ok i bought a set of gt40 heads that are done and a ford f303 cam and rollers.what else besides gaskets i already have the timing chain, water pump, arp head studs. what else do i need to know or do im going to put a new gt40 intake manifold and 70mm throttle body and spacer
