ok first of all im new to the v8 fords im a former importguy. so i need some help here my car setup is pretty much stock. here's my setup 89 5.0l coupe 119,000 miles, cold air intake 2.5'' mac h pipe 2.5'' flowmaster catback headers on the way its a mass air flow motor steeda quad. adj cable king cobra clutch kit 355 rear gears but have 4.10's ready to go in.its my daily driver. i want a cam that idles a little sloppy but stays running just so i know i have a cam.ive never done a cam so im going to need some directions on how to do one.im also going to be doing an msd setup once my income tax check comes in.

forget the msd. put that money towards heads and do it all at once. that will help determine what cam would be best. there are some write ups on the swap floating around here.

I agree with the above post. Save for heads, then you can choose the best cam for your setup. If you are going to go through all the work of swapping a cam you might as well put on some nice heads.

you will spend close to if not over $2,000 when all said and done if you go the aluminum head route. you should be under $1,000 if you chose to use iron heads when all said and done.
