Finially got my 2 front tires mounted on my rims. GAWD was it expensive to get them mounted ( stick on weights and a special machine to put them on) but it was worth the money to have un scuffed rims. Mounting process went real well, I was so worried about the chrome getting scratched or chipped but they had a hell of a good machine to mount tires. I'll be going back there to get the rears done. Enough jibber jabber here are some pics........

17X9 rims 255/40/17 tires.

I want them on my car as well but its going to be a few more weeks. Im not going to bother to try and get them on here, my old rims are a PITA to get off b/c the lug nut holes are not big enough for a socket ot get in well so Im waiting until I get the car to a friends house in a week or so to have all the winter mod stuff put on and then I"ll get pics. I want to have all 4 on before I get pics anyway. I'll be ordering the rear tires soon.

how are they for weight? I know there ultralights but chrome makes wheels ultraheavy. are they lighter then most chrome rims?

My getto way of weighing them ( got on a scale holding a rim and then subtracted the added weight) came out to about 29-30LBS. Not sure if thats close to being right or not though

The non-chrome rims are supposedly only 21 pounds each, so that's a good bit of added weight for chrome. I'm not definite on the 21 lbs., but I have seen that posted a lot.

Oh yeah.......the rims look great. That's probably my favorite style cause it looks great AND not many people have them. I've actually never seen them on a car in my area, so that's an added incentive for me later on. :)

Its agony having new parts like them wheels and not being able to put em on yet... :(

You get the interior put back in??? Chrome and Red...I kept going back and forth and that with mine....Cant wait to see it.... :nice: You need any "lift" items to install give a shout and have at it....Garage is wide open...

capreting is not installed yet, just laying out on the floor of the car. That and the center console have to go in as far as new stuff.

Im sure there will come a time for some suspension mods and that lift offer will be greatly appreciated :D

why haven't you put them on the car already (you prob. said it but i hate reading :D )

because I dont have a floor jack or any jack stands at the moment, but beyond that its b/c the rims that are no there now will not come off w/ out an air gun and I dont have any air here. There American Eagle racing Cobra R rims that are powder coated and Im not sure if its from the powder coating or if just b/c the lug nut holes are to small but its one hell of a PITA to try to get a socket in the lug nut holes to get the rims off and once you get one in there you pretty much need an air gun to turn the socket b/c its a tight fit. Sometime late next week my car is prob going over to a friends house where all the work will be done on it this spring, all the proper tools and air guns really help. My place is not the best to work on the car, the garage has good depth but not good with, wish they made it wider when building this place but I had nothing to do w/ it.

we have had warm temps ( high 40's mid 50's ) and expecting another big rain storm on saturday (Im sure its going through you as well) and after that theres not going to be much snow left. Id say in a week to a week and a half the snow will be pretty much gone.
